About

Hi, my name is John Leonard. In my middle years, I am focusing more on career and financial matters than ever before, as I probably should have done years ago. The positions I have held include senior managing editor, freelance writer, ice cream truck driver, bassist, guitarist, drummer, fry cook, sales clerk, and many other titles shrouded in the mists of time. Eventually, I will have a C.V. on this or an associated Web site.
Right now, I am working as a circulation assistant at the Ashland (Mass.) Public Library. I’m trying to decide which school to go to for my Master’s in Library Science degree, or if getting the degree is even worth it at this point. Any suggestions are welcome.

I started this site as an experiment to see how interested people would be in a site that tells them where to find online manuals, guidebooks, handbooks and the like on whatever topic they’re concerned with. Originally, I had organized it by the Dewey Decimal Classification system, but I have decided that it would be better to organize it more according to the way most people think. To that end, I am reworking it so that links to instructional materials on bread-and-butter issues like career preparation, auto maintenance and computer operations appear first. Manuals on leisure activities like music and sports will come next.

I hope you find this site useful.

Best regards,

John Leonard
